Privacy

Privacy matters but it can be confusing. This page explains our approach to privacy on all our Strong Mountain, Inc. websites and how it affects you.

Short version

We collect anonymous statistics about your visit to our website, like which of our pages you viewed.
If you sign up with us we take great care to keep your information safe and we’ll never share it with others without your express permission.
We never share your data with 3rd parties except to help us deliver our own services.
These are just the key points. If you need detail, keep reading.

Measuring our visitors

We measure visitors to our websites and products using Google Analytics. This service records what pages you view within our site, how you arrived at our site and some basic information about your computer.
We anonymize the data in Google Analytics – so we don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited our site.

The information we collect helps us understand what parts of our sites are doing well, how people arrive at our site and so on. Like most websites, we use this information to make our website better.

You can learn more about Google Analytics or opt out if you wish. Google Analytics data is automatically deleted 26 months after your last visit.

Our websites may include videos hosted by YouTube and Vimeo. They record some data and if you’re interested you should refer to their websites for more information.

Cookies

We use “cookies” on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.

Discussion comments

We allow visitors to discuss articles on our blog posts. Depending on the date they were published, some articles may use WordPress commenting, Disqus or the Facebook comments plugin.
Once you have opted in to leaving comments, these plugins may track your visit to our site. Disqus and/or Facebook will know what pages you viewed and what you write in any comments you leave. Of course all comments you leave are also publicly visible on the Internet alongside your name, so we do not imagine this is a concern for many people.

If you login via social network, the providers of these plugins will be able to link your activity to that network. In this way, your activity may be personally identifiable.
